Key Configuration Options

Workweek Settings

Define when your workweek starts (e.g., Sunday or Monday) and the start time. This is crucial for calculating weekly overtime thresholds correctly.

  • Start Day: SUN, MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT
  • Start Time: Usually 00:00, customizable per jurisdiction
  • Impact: Determines when weekly OT counter resets
Rounding & Grace Periods

Control how punch times are rounded and tolerance for late arrivals/early departures.

  • Rounding Unit: 1, 5, 6, 10, or 15 minutes
  • Rounding Mode: Nearest (neutral), Up (favors employee), Down (favors employer)
  • Start Grace: Minutes tolerated for late clock-in (e.g., 7 min)
  • End Grace: Minutes tolerated for early clock-out (e.g., 5 min)
  • Lockout: After X minutes late, employee is marked absent
Overtime Thresholds

Set daily and weekly overtime rules with multiple tiers.

  • Weekly OT: Hours over 40/week @ 1.5× (standard FLSA)
  • Daily OT1: Hours over 8/day @ 1.5× (California, Lebanon)
  • Daily OT2: Hours over 12/day @ 2.0× (California)
  • Impact: Automatically categorizes hours into regular/OT buckets
Break Policies

Define rest breaks and meal break requirements.

  • Rest Break: Paid or unpaid, minimum duration
  • Meal Required After: e.g., 5 hours and 10 hours (California)
  • Meal Duration: Typically 30 minutes (unpaid)
  • Missed Meal Premium: Penalty pay if required meal not provided
